In the spirit of Humanitarian activities, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on Wednesday promised to donate up to $100 million for the global response to epidermic coronavirus that has claimed over 400 lives since the outbreak.
The main purpose of this generous funding was to assist in quick detection of the virus, isolate infected persons, treatment of infected persons and providing adequate treating and diagnostic facilities.
Mark Suzman, the CEO of Gates Foundation said ,“Multilateral organizations, national governments, the private sector and philanthropies must work together to slow the pace of the outbreak, help countries protect their most vulnerable citizens and accelerate the development of the tools to bring this epidemic under control,”
The foundation further proposed that about $60 million will be donated for the expense of vaccines treatments and proper diagnosis for the virus.
Also the foundation said that about $20 million will be donated to organizations like the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Protection, the National Health Commission of China and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This will help the agency in attacking the deadly virus.
